When you decide to go on a vacation, I don't mean a trip up to the Wisconsin Dells, I mean a real vacation, what are the steps to you take?
* You first might need to determine your budget.... ( time and money)
What would you need to have the trip of a life time, and work out a plan to create & save
* Then determine where you want to go,
How are you going to get there Fly, drive, train bus?
What equipment or tools do I need to take with you? ( snorkeling gear, skis, golf club)
* Come up with a Date you are going to Arrive at your destination
* While you are at your destination, what activities will you want to do?
* You've only got so many days, what are you going to do on what day?
* Upon your return, bathe in the success of your well thought out plans and re-live the memory, only
to plan the next destination.
Looking back at your last "fabulous" trip, wasn't the planning and the anticipation of the trip a big part of the EXCITEMENT and a BIG Part of the journey. AS you were collecting all the things you needed bring along with you, didn't the vision of where you were going would tickle your stomach. It was a place that you had dreamed of visiting for years and now it was so close to happening. I love having a trip planned far in advance, becuse a big part of the fun is the vision in your own mind.
There is a book out on the market now called: 1000 things to do before you die. Not all of them will knock your socks off, but my point is, having those goals and dreams and desires is a big part of life . Life is a journey and we need to set the time aside to plan on where we want to end up.
This scenario is really no different than planning your Shaklee Journey.
What is your budget ( time and money) What hours will you work ? ( Dedicated hours, no matter what) How much will you spend per month to advertise? How much do you need to set aside in order to reach people through a mailing, or a booth?
What are the acitivities you are going to participate in? What meetings will you attend? What meetings
will you hold? ( How many ONe On One appointments, or how many Get Clean meetings, or How many G Get Clean videos will you hand out?)
When you are doing all this, you need to have a purpose or a reason, believe it or not, it is usually not
money. You might want to reach a rank, or an all expense paid trip, and you realize that is you do more
of the planning and saving in the beginning, it makes the trip so much more enjoyable. ex: you need to
set aside $2000. If you get started in the beginning you can put $200/mo away. If you wait til 2 months
before the trip, you may find that you haven't done the work to put the money away for the trip and you
may have then lost the little bit of time and momentum you achieved. You are discouraged, and your mind
comes back and tells you, that's OK..... when it really isn't ... you really wanted this achievment.
So what is my point.? Your Shaklee Business is a Journey just like any trip you would plan. The anticipation of reaching your destination is 3/4 of the fun. Because when it comes right down to it. We spend 50 weeks planning 2 weeks of our year. If we put the same time comittment and desire into our Business while we do the planning, we can celebrate our achievements together in Hawaii in Oct 2008.
NOW is the time to put that plan together, Now is the time to put the pedal to the medal. The day after Labor day is like a New Year. We are all back on a schedule for the next few months. Take advantage of the time and work your plan. If you don't know anyone, then ask the ones you do know, who they know.
The Gold AMbassadors, the Landmark Study, The Get Clean DVD........we have a whole new Playing field. Not sure what your next step should be? Let me be your "Shaklee Journey Agent".
